Why Everyone Wants to Work at In-N-Out: 91% of Employees Say “You Should Too”

In-N-Out Burger has once again proven it’s not just the food that keeps people coming back—it’s the workplace culture. For the 10th consecutive year, the beloved California-based chain ranks highest in employee satisfaction among nearly 90 major restaurant brands, according to data from William Blair’s annual Glassdoor analysis. An impressive 91% of In-N-Out employees would recommend their job to a friend, up from 86% last year. Close behind were Raising Cane’s, Dutch Bros, and Chuy’s, rounding out the top performers in a workforce landscape where culture, leadership, and work-life balance increasingly outweigh wages. As labor competition remains fierce, especially in beverage-focused brands, William Blair’s findings suggest that investing in culture and management may be the secret sauce to long-term employee happiness.
