Internal Democratic Poll Raises Red Flags: Elites Out of Step with Voters

A new poll commissioned by the Democratic super PAC Unite the Country reveals a steep credibility crisis for the Democratic Party, as voters across key battleground states now overwhelmingly view the party as “out of touch,” “woke,” and “weak.” The survey, conducted post-2024 election, shows approval ratings have dropped below 35% among white men, Hispanic men, and working-class voters—groups once considered critical to the party’s coalition. With internal enthusiasm low and donors pulling back, strategists warn that unless Democrats re-center their messaging around common-sense economic issues and bring in a new generation of leaders, the party risks falling further behind in the run-up to 2028 and beyond.
