Drew MacEwen

Senator Drew MacEwen serves as the Republican Deputy Leader for the Washington State Senate. First elected to the State House in 2012, he secured his Senate seat in the 2022 election. Senator MacEwen was instrumental in transforming his district from a solid blue stronghold to a solid red district, reflecting his effective leadership and community support. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, Senator MacEwen is a graduate of the Navy’s esteemed Nuclear Propulsion Program. Beyond his public service, he is the managing partner of Mountain Lakes Capital Management, an investment firm. Senator MacEwen and his wife, Danelle, are the proud parents of two grown sons, both veterans of the U.S. Marine Corps and doting grandparents to six grandchildren.
