A Call for Self-Reflection
Will someone please buy progressives a mirror in the hopes they might look at themselves and do some self-reflection? For a great many years, progressives have told themselves and the rest of us their views equated to proper conclusions based on fact and a good heart. To disagree was to refuse to accept the facts and be guilty of harboring terrible thoughts filled with every ism to be found.
Does reality justify their approach to things? You be the judge. Here is a tiny portion of the truth bumping into their smug, arrogant, elitist self-righteousness. You decide whether they owe us an apology for insisting on the absurd and demanding that good hearts and proper manners should allow them to go unchallenged.
Here are a few of their more recent greatest hits. Find something that is factually wrong, and I will kiss your butt at high noon and give you 30 minutes to draw a crowd. Otherwise, using one of your favorite expressions, STFU. I have had quite enough.
The Biden Illusion
Joe Biden is sharp as a tack, and to say otherwise is hateful and should be seen as such. Never mind what anyone with eyes to see knew to be the truth. Keep primary challenges verboten. Act like you are shocked to learn his brain is mush. Blame it on those dastardly politicians. For an encore, force him out and replace him with a candidate who never received a vote for the office. Be sure to keep yelling it is the other side that supports an oligarchy.
The Harris Narrative
When your hand-picked candidate for President gets defeated, place the blame on her race and gender. Observing that Kamala Harris lacks a sincere bone in her body and cannot string two sentences together constitutes racism and sexism (the progressives’ favorite isms). Not accepting this is also plain rude (see Michelle Obama). Then, you can include if there are those in your family who came to a different conclusion, it is fine to stay away from them at the holidays. After all, who would put family ahead of politics?
Immigration: Denial in Plain Sight
How about the progressive band and their take on immigration? First, the border is secure, when it is plain as day that millions are pouring through. Have your Administration take little to no action to determine if those entering present a danger to Americans. To question this makes the person guilty of hating all immigrants. Next, loudly claim that only a comprehensive approach will ease the problem. Watch in silence or critically as a new Administration fixes the massive influx in a matter of days. Scream bloody murder when that new Administration starts to actually enforce the law, even though the priority is placed on removing criminals. Finish things off by saying that those who do not agree are not good Christians. Remember way back when obeying the law was a good thing, and if you did not like the law, you tried to get it changed?
The Epstein Files Fantasy
Let’s be sure to remember the Epstein files. After all that has taken place, there is only one conclusion to draw—there is bad stuff about President Trump in them; the President actively fought their release only to prevent the bad stuff becoming public; and, finally, he was forced to cave due to public pressure. Can we please be serious for a second? Who in their right mind could think that if there were content damaging to President Trump in them that we would not already know it? The Biden Administration had these same files for years. Who believes they would not have found a way to make the information known? As George Strait would say, “and if you believe that, I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona.”
A Long List of “Greatest Hits”
Maybe we should do a batch of these for a couple of weeks. There is plenty of material—COVID, KJP was qualified for and did a good job as White House Press Secretary, Russiagate, Jay Jones, transgender rights, gun control, Obamacare, protecting democracy, the rule of law, and tons more reality that gives lie to progressive dogma, truly equating to adhering to the facts and being for the good things.
Reality Over Narrative
Remember this: The time has come to stand up for reality over narrative. It will not be easy. You will be viewed as unintelligent and having bad intentions. I’ve had enough, and it is not bad manners to say that actual facts count more than your feelings on the matter. What do you think?
