Despite the cuts, rising material costs, tariffs, and local regulations continue to squeeze builder margins. Aimee Bertrand of the Greater Houston Builders Association says builders are facing tough choices, even as the Houston region sees continued interest from relocating families drawn to more affordable land on the city’s outskirts.
