New Louisiana Destination: Hotel Monroe Debuts in Restored Historic Building
Hotel Monroe

Hotel Monroe officially opened its doors with a celebratory open house on Friday, July 25, welcoming guests to tour the beautifully restored space. Housed in the historic Sugar Brothers Grocery building and former Southern Hardware store—now connected by a central tower—the hotel features 69 guest rooms, multiple dining options, a rooftop bar, and a grand ballroom. Co-owner Michael Echols projects the hotel could generate up to $10 million in regional economic impact in its first year, making it a major addition to Monroe’s downtown revival.
