Senate President Felzkowski Expedites Wisconsin Trades Contracts

Senate President Mary Felzkowski, in her new role as co-chair of the Joint Committee on Employment Relations, helped facilitate the committee’s approval of contracts for unionized building trades employees working in Wisconsin State Government. This marks the earliest these contracts have ever been approved since the implementation of the current approval process.

Felzkowski emphasized the importance of swift action in her statement, citing the economic challenges facing Wisconsin families. “It makes sense to approve these contracts as soon as possible to give middle-class, Wisconsin families more financial resources,” she said.

The contracts will now move to the full Senate and Assembly for approval before receiving the governor’s final signature.
