In a significant move this past week, President Donald J. Trump has appointed Georgia State Senator Brandon Beach as the new Treasurer of the United States. This prestigious appointment marks a significant milestone in Sen. Beach’s political career, as he transitions from the Georgia State Senate to a key federal position.

“I have loved serving in the Georgia State Senate for the past 13 years, and it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to be a part of this esteemed institution,” said Sen. Beach. “The Senate body holds a special place in my heart, and I will always cherish the time I spent serving the great people of Georgia. Being appointed by President Donald J. Trump to serve as Treasurer of the United States is a life-changing opportunity, and I am deeply humbled and grateful for the trust placed in me.”

Senator Beach continued to emphasize his commitment to fiscal responsibility and economic growth, values he believes are essential to the future success of the nation. “I look forward to continuing my service to this great nation, upholding the values of fiscal responsibility, economic growth, and American prosperity. A highly respected leader in Georgia, Sen. Beach has served in the state legislature for 13 years, including as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tourism. He has played a pivotal role in shaping the state’s economic landscape and fostering business growth. In addition, Sen. Beach has served in leadership roles with the North Fulton Improvement District (NFCID), the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority, and the Georgia Department of Transportation.

His extensive experience also includes serving as Chairman of the Public-Private Partnership Committee and the Land Development Committee, as well as the Fulton County Development Authority. Furthermore, he currently serves on the Georgia World Congress Center Oversight Board and the Georgia Lottery Corporation Oversight Board, further highlighting his broad involvement in Georgia’s economic and infrastructure development.

Beach will be the first Georgian to hold the position of U.S. Treasurer, a vital role responsible for overseeing the U.S. Mint, Fort Knox, and serving as a liaison to the Federal Reserve. As Treasurer, Beach will also act as a senior advisor to the Treasury Secretary on issues relating to community development, continuing his commitment to enhancing American prosperity.

Sen. Beach, a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Master of Business Administration from Centenary College, represents the 21st Senate District, which includes portions of Cherokee and Fulton counties.
