Missouri House Leaders Mourn Passing of Rep. Ken Waller

Missouri House leaders are mourning the passing of State Rep. Ken Waller, remembering the Jefferson County lawmaker as a “larger-than-life” colleague whose energy and devotion to public service left a mark across the state.
In a joint statement, Speaker Jon Patterson, R-Lee’s Summit, Speaker Pro Tem Chad Perkins, R-Bowling Green, and Majority Floor Leader Alex Riley, R-Springfield, said Waller’s “energy, good humor, and steadfast commitment to public service touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him.” They noted that in addition to serving in the Missouri House, Waller also served Jefferson County as county executive.
“Ken’s dedication to good government and his love for the people he served will leave a lasting legacy—not only in his district, but across Jefferson County and throughout Missouri,” the leaders said. “As we grieve this tremendous loss, our hearts are with Ken’s family and loved ones, and we stand ready to support them in the days ahead.”
