Country Icon Janie Fricke Makes Fan-Favorite Albums Available Digitally

Country music legend Janie Fricke is giving fans something they’ve been waiting years for—three of her rare albums are now available on streaming platforms for the very first time. Starting yesterday, listeners can enjoy Bouncin’ Back (2000), Tributes to My Heroes (2003), and Roses & Lace (2008), courtesy of StarVista Music.

The two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and ACM Female Vocalist of the Year originally recorded these albums as limited pressings to sell at her concerts, making them treasures for only the most devoted fans who managed to grab a copy. Until now, the songs had never been available digitally.

“I hand-picked all of these songs, and each of them has a special meaning,” Fricke explained. “I wanted to create something really special for the fans who came to my concerts, something they could take home with them. Over time, they occasionally were available in CD format on my website but have never been on any of the streaming services. I’m so grateful that they’re out there for anyone who wants to listen to them now!”

Originally released in 2000, Bouncin’ Back was Fricke’s way of personally thanking fans who attended her shows. Three years later, she followed up with Tributes to My Heroes, a heartfelt project reimagining some of her favorite songs from her collection of LPs. Among them is Billy Vera’s “At This Moment,” included as a tribute to her mother, who loved the song dearly. In 2008, she recorded Roses & Lace in her own studio, a project that features her rendition of Glen Campbell’s classic “Try A Little Kindness.” “I perform that song in my show a lot because I just love its concept of kindness,” Fricke said.

Fricke’s journey began humbly in a small Indiana church where her mother played piano. After studying elementary education at Indiana University, she turned toward music, quickly becoming one of the most in-demand jingle singers in the country. Her voice was instantly recognizable on commercials for United Airlines, Coca-Cola, 7-Up, and Red Lobster, before she transitioned to background vocals for stars like Loretta Lynn, Ronnie Milsap, Barbara Mandrell, and even posthumous albums from Elvis Presley and Charlie Rich.

Her breakout moment came when fans heard her sing the line “Shut out the light and lead me…” on Johnny Duncan’s chart-topping single Stranger. From there, Fricke rose to solo stardom with hit after hit, including “Don’t Worry ’Bout Me Baby,” “He’s a Heartache,” and “Your Heart’s Not In It.” Over her career, she’s earned multiple industry awards, four Grammy nominations, and 18 No. 1 hits.

Fans can now relive and rediscover these chapters of Fricke’s career on streaming platforms: Stream Bouncin’ Back, Stream Tributes to My Heroes, and Stream Roses & Lace. With her timeless voice and enduring impact on country music, Janie Fricke’s music continues to resonate across generations—and thanks to this release, her rarest albums are no longer just a memory for longtime fans, but a fresh discovery for new ones.
