Bill Maher is not one to hold back, and his latest sparring match with Larry David has the comic in full defense mode. In an interview with Piers Morgan, Maher slapped back at David’s recent Nazi comparison, which was made in a New York Times essay. David had likened Maher to a “Nazi stooge” for his dinner with Donald Trump, a move Maher found absurd. “The moment you play the Hitler card, you’ve lost the argument,” Maher declared, pointing out that real-life Nazis didn’t attend dinners with their critics—they murdered them. Maher’s calm rebuttal not only highlights the ridiculousness of David’s comparison but also the disservice done to the memory of six million Jews.
