Kindness, Always: One Man’s Impact in a Small-Town Store

In Vian, a small town in eastern Oklahoma near the Arkansas border and not far from Fort Smith, a familiar face at a local grocery store is quietly changing people’s days—one interaction at a time.

A Purpose Rooted in Helping Others

At Harps Food Stores, Dallas Frisby spends his days doing what he says he loves most: helping people.

Whether he’s stocking shelves, sweeping floors, or assisting customers, Dallas approaches every task with the same mindset—be there for others.

“I love helping people, always,” he says. “Whatever they want me to do, I am always here for them.”

A Presence That Lifts Others

For customers like Bobbie Sneed, seeing Dallas has become a highlight of the day.

No matter what kind of day she’s having, she says it’s always better after a quick conversation—or a familiar side hug—with him. That consistency, that warmth, has made Dallas more than just an employee. He’s become a source of encouragement.

More Than a Diagnosis

Dallas’ family says his kindness has always been part of who he is.

His sister remembers walking into school hand-in-hand with him, while his mother reflects on the early doubts they were told to expect—and how wrong those predictions turned out to be.

Today, those same moments have been replaced with meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and a deeper understanding of what truly matters.

A Lesson That Sticks

For Dallas, the message is simple: kindness, always.

It’s not complicated. It’s not conditional. It’s something he practices every day—without fanfare, without expectation.

And in a world that often moves too fast, that kind of consistency stands out.

Because sometimes, the people who change our lives the most… are the ones who simply show up, smile, and remind us what really matters.
